EVENt ACCESSIBILITY

We’re committed to making our conference an accessible and inclusive experience. Our host venue, the Higgins Hotel, offers a range of accessible rooming features. If you need an accessible room, please contact the hotel directly and they’ll be happy to assist. In addition, we’ve designed the event with several accommodations in mind, including:

  • Closed captioning for all mainstage sessions

  • Microphone use throughout all programming, including main stage, breakout sessions, and receptions

  • Accessible seating—In breakout rooms, please leave seats at the front open for attendees who need to sit closer to presenters in order to see or hear. In the general session room, look for clearly marked Accessible Seating areas. We ask that those spaces remain available for attendees who need them. Anyone using accessible seating is welcome to have another conference attendee sit with them.

  • A low-sensory room for taking breaks and decompressing as needed

  • Menu planning shaped by the dietary needs indicated in registration. Because allergens vary widely, please check ingredient lists on display before enjoying any food served.

  • Traveling with children—We understand the importance of accessible childcare for parents and caregivers. If you need childcare while you are in New Orleans, we are happy to share local childcare resources with options that best fit your needs.

  • Service animals—Verified service animals are welcome at all events and sessions. No pet fee will be charged with proper documentation, per the Higgins Hotel requirements. If verification cannot be provided, the hotel may decline to admit the animal.
